I have always been fascinated by ships in a bottle, so I thought that this was the perfect Columbus Day project. I gave each child a piece of laminating film ( the kind for a small laminator) opened the sheet and traced a bottle shape on the inside. Using Sharpies, they drew ships inside of the bottle and wrote facts about Columbus. I then ran the laminating film through my desk size laminator. The last step was to stable a blue piece of construction paper behind the lamination.
