"Nuts for You!" By Lois Ehlert , is a great visual inspiration. After reading her book, we went outside and made bark rubbings for the book cover. A hole was traced near the top of the bark paper and cut out. Then, we put a piece of black paper underneath and drew a squirrel on the black inside the hole. Information about a squirrels habitat, diet, predators, etc. was gathered. These facts made the content of our book.
