Miss Nelson is Missing By Harry Allard

Miss Nelson is Missing is a great book for second graders to compare and contrast. We made a file folder book to do just that. The cover idea was a drawing of Miss Nelson's classroom. We studied the book cover and took off from that. The inside was a drawing of Miss Nelson and Viola Swamp. Words were brainstormed to describe the differences between the two. The back cover described how the two were alike. For example, both teachers, both lived in the same house, etc.
